A released message arrives incomplete

SpamDuster can only release as much of a message as it stored. If Store complete mail in Advanced keeps only the start of each message, large messages are released cut off. Raise the limit for future mail; messages already stored cannot be completed.

Why a released message can be incomplete

When SpamDuster blocks a message, it keeps a copy. The Store complete mail setting in Advanced sets how much of each message the copy holds. A message larger than the limit is stored cut off, and releasing it delivers only the part that was kept, often without its attachments.

Keep complete copies from now on

  1. In the console, open Advanced.
  2. Under Store complete mail, choose a larger limit, for example Up to 10 MByte, or No limit.
  3. Select Save.

Larger limits use more disk space. The change applies to mail that arrives after you save it.

Messages already stored

A message stored before you raised the limit cannot be completed. Ask the sender to send it again; if it is blocked again, release it once the new copy is stored.
