How SpamDuster Cloud billing works

You pay us one charge per SpamDuster Cloud server, monthly or yearly. It covers both your dedicated server on Linode and SpamDuster, so there is no cloud account or separate cloud bill. Paying yearly costs the same as 10 monthly payments. Each plan includes a number of domains and email addresses; domain expansion packs add more.

Who you pay

You pay us. One charge, monthly or yearly, covers your dedicated server on Linode and SpamDuster together. There is no Linode account for you to open, log into or pay.

What the charge depends on

The charge depends only on your plan, that is the size of your server, on where the server runs (servers in Jakarta and São Paulo cost more), and on whether you add backups. Each plan includes a number of domains and email addresses (see SpamDuster Cloud plans); it does not depend on the number of messages. If you go over what your plan includes and Add capacity automatically is on, a domain expansion pack is added, emailed to you and invoiced pro-rata. Domains are never refused. If a server is at its address limit and no pack can be added, mail for a new address is asked to try again later (senders retry, mail is not lost); addresses that received mail in the last 30 days always get their mail.

Paying monthly or yearly

Paying yearly costs the same as 10 monthly payments of the plan (2 months free). Backups are not discounted: a year of backups costs 12 times the monthly backup price. See SpamDuster Cloud plans.

Invoices, payments and renewals

SpamDuster is billed through the same billing portal as every PortWall product. For invoices, payment methods and renewals, see Pay an invoice and Renew a service.

If an invoice is not paid

If the service is suspended for an unpaid invoice, your SpamDuster server keeps your settings but temporarily rejects incoming mail, so sending servers keep retrying. Mail resumes as soon as the account is reactivated. See My SpamDuster service is suspended.

Cancelling

To cancel, see Cancel a service. Before the service ends, point your MX records back at your own mail server or another filter, so your mail keeps arriving.
