What you need
- Your own mail server that holds your mailboxes and can receive mail over SMTP. SpamDuster works in front of any standard SMTP mail server, including servers managed by cPanel & WHM, Plesk or DirectAdmin.
- Access to your domains' DNS, to point their MX records at SpamDuster.
- Control of your mail server's firewall and settings, so it accepts mail from the SpamDuster server.
- A web browser to use the console.
What you do not need
- No hardware, virtual machine or cloud account: we run your SpamDuster server.
- No software on your users' computers or phones, and no change to how they read mail.
Hosted mail services
SpamDuster delivers to a mail server you can configure. If your mailboxes are on a hosted service, check with that service that you can point your MX records at a filter and have it accept mail from the filter's IP address before you order.
Ports used
The SpamDuster server receives mail on port 25 and serves the console on port 443. It delivers clean mail to your mail server on the port you choose, usually 25. See Ports and hosts to allow.
