On-premise

SpamDuster on your own servers.

Prefer to run mail filtering on your own infrastructure? Install SpamDuster as an appliance on your hardware or virtualization platform — one for the mail you receive, one for the mail you send. On-Premise Inbound also runs in your own AWS, Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure account.

On-Premise Inbound Coming soon

Every inbox protected, on your hardware.

The same multi-layered inbound filtering as SpamDuster Cloud, as an appliance you install and run yourself. It sits in front of your mail servers and stops spam, malware and phishing before they reach a mailbox.

  • ✓
    The full protection stack

Spam, virus and phishing filtering, attachment defense, quarantine, allow and block lists and reporting — everything on the protection page.

  • ✓
    One appliance, many mail servers

Filter unlimited domains and mailboxes for every licensed mail server and its hosting control panel from a single appliance.

  • ✓
    Guided setup

Install from a single ISO, then set the appliance up from its console — no command line, no hand-written configuration.

  • ✓
    Always up to date

Filter rules, threat signatures and software updates arrive automatically and are cryptographically signed, so only genuine updates are installed.

  • ✓
    Your hardware or your cloud

Run it on VMware, Hyper-V, KVM or a physical server, or in your own account on AWS, Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure. See public cloud ↓

In your own cloud account

On-Premise Inbound, on the cloud you already use.

Already run your infrastructure on a public cloud? On-Premise Inbound will also be available through AWS Marketplace, Google Cloud Marketplace and Azure Marketplace. It runs in your own account, and you manage it the same way as an appliance on your own hardware.

Public-cloud availability is for On-Premise Inbound. On-Premise Outbound runs on your own hardware and virtualization platforms. Want us to run SpamDuster for you instead? That's SpamDuster Cloud, fully managed on Linode.

On-Premise Outbound Coming soon

Stop spam before it leaves your network.

A single compromised mailbox or a hijacked web form can get your servers blocklisted overnight. On-Premise Outbound filters the mail your servers send, so the damage is stopped at your edge — not discovered in a bounce report.

  • ✓
    Outgoing mail scanned

Every outgoing message is checked for spam, viruses and phishing before it is delivered.

  • ✓
    Compromised accounts contained

Spam sent through a stolen password or an exploited script is caught and held, instead of reaching thousands of recipients.

  • ✓
    Your sending reputation protected

Keeping junk off the wire helps keep your IP addresses off blocklists and your customers' mail landing in inboxes.

  • ✓
Fits in front of your servers

Your mail servers relay through the appliance as a smart host — no change for your users.

How on-premise works

Install, activate, route.

From a blank virtual machine to filtered mail, without editing a configuration file.

1

Install the appliance

Boot the SpamDuster ISO on a virtual machine or a physical server, and the installer sets up the complete appliance. For inbound, you can also launch it on AWS, Google Cloud or Azure.

2

Activate it

Enter the appliance ID and activation code from your welcome email on the appliance console. The licence and updates then arrive automatically.

3

Route your mail

Point your MX records at the inbound appliance, or relay your servers' outgoing mail through the outbound one — and clean mail flows.

Licensed per mail server. Each appliance is licensed per mail server, with unlimited domains and mailboxes. If a licence lapses, mail keeps being filtered and delivered for 14 days while the management console, reporting and additional detection engines pause; after that the appliance holds new mail with a temporary error, so sending servers queue it and retry, and delivery resumes as soon as you renew. Sending servers give up after about 5 days, so renew promptly.
Cloud or on-premise?

Pick the model that fits.

Both run the same filtering engine and protect unlimited domains and mailboxes. The difference is who runs the server.
